The graduation rate in Norwalk continues to be above the Iowa state average. This past year, the 4-year graduation rate for Norwalk students who were 9th graders four years earlier was 96.4%, while the Iowa average was 90.2%. Both of these rates were slightly lower than last year. It is impossible to know now how much of a role Covid-19 played, but it had an impact as education was disrupted for all students and teachers. The district continues to strive to provide multiple opportunities for students to stay in school and obtain their diplomas.
